Located at Sungai Petang, Tasik Kenyir is 21 km from Pengkalan Gawi (40 minutes by riding on boat). 11 km from Como and 16 km from Sultan Mahmud (Jenagor) Hydroelectric Dam. The length of the river is 20 km (including 10km inside National Park). The width of the water area is 407 hectare, consists of 91 rivers and is surrounded by hills. Majority of the river water is from Gunung Padang (1,134m) which is the highest mountain in this area.



In the depth of the lake, the tourist have the opportunity to see and feed the fishes and other aquatic life. Apart from the fishes, this area is also rich in a wide variety of floras and faunas which include herbal plants like Tongkat Ali, Kacip Fatimah, Kerbau Berlaga, Lemba, Belimbing Tanah and Meriam Membangun.
