Belum Forest Reserve
The Belum Forest Reserve is one of the oldest and largest untouched rainforests in Peninsular Malaysia. Flush with flora and fauna this reserve is of great interest to ecologists, conservationists and nature enthusiasts. The presence of large mammals such as elephants, rhinoceros, tapirs and tigers makes Belum a treasure to be experienced. A permit is required if you would like to explore the reserve. Guided tours are available.

Sungkai Deer Farm
Situated in Manderang, about 82 km from Ipoh, this farm is the only one of its kind in the country. Deer of various kinds roam freely in the reserve and there is also an exotic bird sanctuary nearby. Established in 1978, its primary objective is to breed and conserve certain species of birds and other wildlife.
