Geography
The state of Penang, located to the north of Peninsular Malaysia encompasses 1,039sq m which comprises a turtle-shaped island, in the Straits of Melaka, and a strip of land called Seberang Prai, on mainland Peninsular Malaysia.

Georgetown is Penang’s capital city. A mixture of old and new, Georgetown is filled with religious structures, historical sites and of course shopping opportunities. It is a bustling fast paced modern city that is well connected through a good network of roads though older roads can be quite narrow. Of particular interest is the older part of Georgetown with its varied architectural mix, ranging from the colonial era to ethnic inspired structures that include Chinese mansions, Indian temples and Achehnese mosques.
