The Sarawak Regatta 2009 promises to be a watery sporting fun with more than 600 paddlers registered so far paddling their boats for a two kilometer dash along the Sarawak River.
Paddlers coming from as far as neighboring Brunei, Kalimantan, Indonesia and various other states in Peninsular Malaysia have signed up for the event schedule to be held from July 31 to August 1.
Entry for the various categories are still open for registration and tourists who are interested to join in the race are requested to contact the Visitors’ Information Center Tel. 6 082 410944.
