Sarawak is looking forward to see more student tourists from Singapore holidaying in the State after the launching of the Breakthrough- Intercultural Communication Enrichment Package in the republic.
Launched in September by Sarawak’s Minister for Urban Development and Tourism Datuk Michael Manyin anak Jawong, the holiday package is targeted at students between 12 and 18 years old.
The Breakthrough package is a four-day three-night stay in Kuching and the tour itinerary is specially designed to include educational elements which will enrich the students’ holiday experience in the State. The tour programme can also be tailored to suit the students’ age.
The programme includes at trip to Gunung Gading National Park to see the world largest flower the Rafflesia, a visit to the Catholic Memorial Pilgrimage Centre and also an overnight stay at the Rayan Deer Farm in Bau. A trip to the Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is also including in the programme which will enable the students to study the Orang Utan in its natural habitat.
