01 March 2008, The Eye on Malaysia, the giant ferris wheel launched in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, will leave its Titiwangsa Lake Gardens site to be relocated to Melaka in November.
According to Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, the ferris wheel will be located at the Melaka Marina project site in Taman Kota Laksamana in Bandar Hilir. He believes that the wheel, with 42 air-conditioned gondolas will serve as a tourist attraction and will be well received by the people.
The relocation of the Eye on Malaysia will benefit the local population and tourists to the historic state.
