With its strategic positioning in South East Asia, along the spice trade route of the past, Malaysia has always drawn people from all over the world for various reasons. Be it spice traders, Emperors, princesses and princes from exotic lands, Admirals or Adventurers from far off lands, they have all thronged to Malaysia over the years, many opting to remain. The indelible marks of all have been woven into the fabric of Malaysian society making for a flavoursome concoction of cultures, traditions and believe which have been further, shaped and honed over the ages through intermingling. It would be difficult to specifically categorise the culture, tradition and believes of Malaysia as it continues to evolve. It is undeniable though that Malaysia is today a truly amazing nation which has absorbed contrasts, contradictions and spawned unity and harmony.
Nature has also endowed Malaysia with myriad blessings in the form of natural rainforests, rivers, lakes, hills and mountains to sunny, sandy beached islands and coral reefs and so much more. Along side its natural endowments are cities and towns which range from modern to traditional, all co-existing in an atmosphere of harmony.
Whether it is the people, the environment, nature or the activities, Malaysia offers a dizzying array of contrasts which leaves visitors yearning for more.
