Geography

Malaysia consists of Peninsular Malaysia (West Malaysia) and the northern portion of the island of Borneo (East Malaysia). Peninsular Malaysia which lies between 2 and 7 degrees north of the Equator is lapped by the Andaman Sea on its west coast while its East coast and the island of Borneo are swept by the South China Sea.
